Health AI LLC ("Health AI," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website healthai.com and the Clarity ingredient safety tool, including the Clarity web checker, Clarity API, and Clarity ChatGPT integration (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Email address — if you sign up for full access to Clarity or contact us
  • Ingredient queries — the ingredients and product barcodes you search through our Services
  • Feedback — if you rate a response as helpful or not helpful
  • Contact information — if you reach out via our contact form

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, time on page
  • Device information — browser type, operating system, screen size
  • IP address — for rate limiting and security purposes

Information we do NOT collect:

  • We do not collect health records, medical history, or diagnostic information
  • We do not collect payment information (we do not sell products directly)
  • We do not collect information about children under 13

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide ingredient safety results when you search
  • To improve the accuracy and coverage of our ingredient database

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your ingredient queries with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — we use Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), and OpenAI (AI processing) to operate the Services. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or legal process
  • Aggregated data — we may share anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., "the most-searched ingredient this month") that cannot identify any individual

4. Third-Party AI Platform Integrations

Clarity may be available through third-party AI platforms including but not limited to OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), API marketplaces (RapidAPI, AWS Data Exchange), and other current or future AI assistants and distribution channels. When you use Clarity through any third-party platform:

  • Your conversation is processed by that platform under their own privacy policy
  • The Clarity API receives only the ingredient name you query — not your full conversation, identity, or account information
  • We receive no personal data from third-party platform interactions
  • Each platform may have its own data retention and usage policies that are independent of ours

5. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies for basic functionality (session management, preferences). We use Squarespace's built-in analytics to understand site traffic. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

6. Data Retention

Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Ingredient queries are logged for service improvement and retained for up to 12 months. Feedback responses are retained indefinitely in anonymized form. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Opt out of email communications at any time
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
